Taking cards outside Hotseat

Renters with their own card reader can still check out every client here - and keep rebooking, receipts and reviews.

A booth renter who takes card payments on their own reader can turn on Process outside Hotseat in Your settings → Pay in & pay out (owners: Team Settings → (name) → Money).

What changes: - No card is saved when clients book them, so no-show and late-cancel fees can't be charged. That's the trade-off of using another processor. - At the till, their visits show Paid outside Hotseat. Add the tip, tap it, and the visit is marked paid. Nothing is charged here. - Rent: the shop's share of their services comes from their bank with the rent, the same as a percentage plan always works. - Products and referral money still come in. Their cut of product sales comes off their rent (see "Commission stylists and booth renters"), and referral money from Hotseat goes to the bank they connect under Pay in & pay out.

Check out every client here anyway. That one tap is what keeps rebooking, receipts, review requests, referral credit, client history and pricing working. Renters who never check out in their booking software miss all of it.
