Saving a client's card on file

Saved once, used for one-tap checkout and to hold future appointments.

Clients save a card in two places:

• When booking online: the card holds the appointment. Nothing is charged until the visit.
• When paying: Keep my card on file is ticked on the pay screen. Leave it ticked and Apple Pay or the card they used is saved.

Next time they book, they're recognised by their phone number ("Welcome back") and aren't asked for a card again. At the till you'll see Charge card on file.

Cards are kept by Stripe, on your shop's own account. Hotseat never sees or stores the card number.
