Hotseat Booking

How dynamic pricing works for salons & barbershops

Airlines and hotels have priced by demand for decades. A Saturday afternoon chair is worth more than a Tuesday morning one, too - dynamic pricing just lets your booking system say so, automatically and fairly.

Your price is the starting point

You set your menu price for every service, the way you do now. Dynamic pricing works around that number - it never replaces it. With it switched off, every booking is simply your menu price.

How prices move

  • Hotseat watches how full each stylist's day is getting and how far ahead clients are booking.
  • Quiet slots ease a little below your price to fill the chair.
  • In-demand slots - the ones that always book out - rise a little.
  • Every move stays inside a floor and a ceiling you choose.

How clients are protected

  • Clients see the price before they book - no surprises.
  • A booked price never changes.
  • Clients who book their next visit at checkout lock today's price.
  • You can set any price yourself, for anyone - the regular of fifteen years keeps their price if you say so.

What it costs

Hotseat is $19 per chair a month, never more than $149 a shop. On top of that, Hotseat keeps a share of what dynamic pricing earns above your own prices - 15%, falling to 3% as you earn more. Bookings at or below your price cost nothing extra.

Questions

Will my regulars be upset?

Their booked price never changes, they can lock today's price for their next visit, and you can set anyone's price yourself.

Can I try it on just one stylist?

Yes. Each stylist turns it on for their own chair.
